Das Egg Productions
Elisabeth's production company, Das Egg, develops work in film, fiction, and theatre that celebrates the Everywoman.
For the last century, the Everyman has been the center of attention: the Tom-Hanks-good-guy who strives in his normalness to make the best choices he can. As efforts to include women on screen have emerged, female characters tend towards the exceptional: supermodelesque superheroines, regal rulers, beautiful spies. We aim to fill the current gap in content between the Everymen and the WonderWomen with innovative and honest protagonistas who validate the Everywoman Everywhere.
Visit the Das Egg Productions website to see clips from Elisabeth's latest short films including The Parable of the Disappearing Recliner, starring Amy Sedaris and Lee Tergesen; Tahiti and Betafish, two films directed in rep both starring Gethin Anthony (NBC’s Aquarius, HBO’s Game of Thrones), Suzanne Bertish (Rome) and John Behlmann (Riverdale); Severance, a comedy horror about an aging grande dame, a pool boy and a possum, starring Golden Globe nominee and theater legend Elizabeth Ashley (Treme); HARD, starring Christiane Seidel (Boardwalk Empire) and Elizabeth Masucci (Public Morals); and CHICKEN, a threesome relationship dramedy.
